Dr Jacqueline Tan is Assistant Provost at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and also serves as Director of the Office of the Provost. Her work focuses on academic governance, institutional planning, and university-wide academic initiatives that support the University's academic development.

With over 20 years of experience in higher education, Dr Tan has contributed to academic governance, quality assurance, and institutional development. She played a key role in the transition of SIM University (UniSIM) to SUSS and was a member of the Review of SUSS Education (ROSE) Panel (2020–2022), which led the redesign of the University's undergraduate curriculum.

Her main area of research is human capital, with a particular focus on human capital leakage and its implications for economic development. She is also interested in student learning journeys, student attrition, academic governance, and institutional effectiveness in higher education.

Dr Tan holds a Doctor of Business Administration from the Singapore University of Social Sciences and a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.
