With more than 20 years as a counselling and clinical psychologist, Mavis has had the privilege to work with clients who present with mild to severe mental health issues that ranged from depression to severe personality pathology. As Head of Psychology, she ensures that quality psychological services are delivered in accordance with the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the Institute of Mental Health (IMH). Having received SkillsFuture fellowship in 2018, she is constantly seeking knowledge and is currently pursuing her PhD in James Cook University (Singapore) where her research topic is on Internet Gaming Disorder within Singapore. On days where she does not wear her psychologist hat, she is a mother to a bubbly energetic 10-year-old and enjoys family time with her loved ones.
