Dr. Tan Teck Keong Patrick is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Business Administration. He has been awarded the Doctorate of Business Administration from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) for his dissertation on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in Investing. His other research interests are in Kaizen, geronpreneurship and overseas work.
Dr. Tan’s qualifications include the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Certification Program by The City University of New York, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), Strong Interest Inventory®, Advanced Certificate for Training and Assessment (ACTA), Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM), Advanced Certificate for Career Development and Facilitation (ACCDF), and Independent Associate for Hofstede Culture In The Workplace.
He has more than 35 years' experience holding appointments of Chief Financial Officer, Group Chief Investment Officer, Investment Director, Head of Corporate Finance, Head of Management Accounting, Treasurer and Educator.
His specialisations are in treasury, financing, investment, IPOs, corporate restructuring, M&A, financial accounting, management reporting, strategic finance, financial operations, compliance and risk management, covering financial markets, consultancy, education, info-communications, leisure, property, shipping, transportation and utilities.
Currently, he is a Senior Specialist & Lead (Overseas Work) and Associate Faculty at SUSS, where he teaches accountancy, finance, strategy and industry-based courses for undergraduates and working professionals. He is also a corporate trainer for post-graduate programmes and marker for the post-graduate Chartered Accountant Pathway Examinations.
Dr. Tan’s contributions to the community include his appointments to the ISCA Information Technology Services Advisory Panel and the ISCA Accountants Journal Advisory Panel, as well as his commitment to coach, mentor and develop thousands of industry-ready professionals.
