SUSS Analytics and Visualisation Challenge 2026
The SUSS Analytics and Visualisation Challenge 2026, held on 16 September 2026, ended successfully, highlighting the creativity and analytical skills of pre-university students. This year’s event drew an exceptional number of applicants, with 75 team applications received - our highest to date. With limited slots available, 17 teams comprising 52 Polytechnic Diploma and 12 Junior College students secured their places on a first-come, first-served basis.
The challenge tasked participants with uncovering insights from a real-world dataset generously provided by Social Gifting Singapore, a crowdfunding and e-commerce platform dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities by providing them with a dignified source of income. Their contribution allowed students to address a meaningful and socially relevant data problem[CL1.1], demonstrating how analytics can create a positive impact.
In the morning session, teams worked intensively to develop interactive data visualisation dashboards using Tableau, uncovering key insights and crafting compelling narratives from the dataset. In the afternoon, each team presented their dashboards directly to a panel of judges, explaining their approach, highlighting their findings, and responding to questions that tested both their technical understanding and ability to think critically.
The event not only highlighted the growing enthusiasm for data analytics among pre-university students but also provided an invaluable platform for them to apply classroom knowledge to real-life scenarios, sharpen their visualisation skills, and present actionable solutions to the judging panel.
Congratulations to all teams for their impressive efforts and innovative presentations. We are also delighted to congratulate the following award-winning teams:
