SUSS Finance: Strengthening Industry Partnership with FPAS
On 2 July 2025, the Finance programme at SUSS School of Business signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS).
Through this MOU, graduates of SUSS Finance who complete FIN379 Personal Financial Planning will receive exemptions towards the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification—helping them shorten the pathway to this key professional qualification. SUSS Finance graduates who have taken FIN379 will not be required to undergo the three out of six examinations in CFP, namely the examinations for Foundations in Financial Planning, Investment Planning and Retirement Planning. This reflects the core ethos of SUSS Finance: to equip students with practical, industry-relevant knowledge that prepares them for the job market from day one.
This is not a new partnership. SUSS and FPAS have worked together for around 14 years. While people have changed and market conditions have evolved over time, our relationship has remained strong and relevant. This enduring partnership is a testament to the importance of staying closely connected with industry.
Our industry partners play an essential role in the SUSS Finance community, and we are proud to celebrate this journey together. We look forward to many more years of collaboration, helping our graduates gain industry-ready skills through trusted, long-term partnerships.
