Synopsis
TSL578 Second Language Writing provides students with insights into second language (L2) writing theories, research and instructional practices. It critically examines processes, products and context of L2 writing as well as issues on acquisition, teaching and assessment of writing. Complexities of writing instruction relevant to TESOL contexts are also explored. Students will develop a deeper metacognitive awareness of their own writing processes and practical skills for teaching writing across different age groups and settings.
