Synopsis

CDO381 Work Study and Industry Readiness is the SUSS SkillsFuture Work-Study Degree (WSDeg) component that combines academic study with practical experience. Over 12 months, students participate in On-the-Job Training (OJT) with a Host Organisation, earning 30 credit units through real projects. The Industry Applied Project (IAP) enables students to apply theoretical knowledge to address workplace challenges. Assessment in this course focuses on meeting performance goals based on the application of skills and competency development in areas such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, and continuous self-development. This approach aims to prepare students for their careers by combining practical learning with structured mentorship and reflection. By aligning personal growth with organisational goals, participants develop a portfolio, enhance their professional mindset, and build a network of industry connections before graduating. This course serves as a platform for career success, whether preparing for a first career, a mid-career change, or upskilling.
