Synopsis

This course is designed to enable students to apply translation and interpreting (T&I) skills in a project. It aims to provide students with a range of practical experiences that mirror the T&I profession. In a highly applied and hands-on approach, the course explores multimodality in translation, professional practice and ethics, marketing and pricing strategies, collaboration and project management. Technology, AI and digital tools are integral to these aspects. Students can choose and engage in projects that align with their interests, allowing them to engage with the material actively rather than conducting theoretical exercises. Students can also build their portfolio through this course by demonstrating their translation and interpreting competencies. The completion of a translation project may aid in the application of career opportunities or further studies in higher degrees.
