Synopsis

Upon the completion of the ENG235 Applications of AIoT course, students will be able to appreciate the essential knowledge, emerging trends and applications of AIoT in various industries such as manufacturing, supply chain, healthcare, energy and utilities, public transportation, banking and finance, and smart nation. Students will be introduced to the end-to-end approach of AIoT projects and provided with practical approach and frameworks on how to analyse problems and evaluate various devices, communication, and computing infrastructure and platforms. They will also be exposed to the cybersecurity, data privacy and ethical concerns. Students will learn innovative business and commercial models to help create value for organisations and justify return on the investment. At the end of the module, students will learn how to conceptualise an end-to-end real-world case of an AIoT solution.
