Synopsis

MGT503 Leading Responsible and Sustainable Organisations begins with an integrated overview of Corporate Governance (CG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Students will examine governance structures, the roles and responsibilities of boards and management, and the regulatory environment influencing corporate conduct. Emphasis is placed on applying the principles of the Singapore Code of Corporate Governance and understanding how CG practices influence business ethics, risk management, and performance. The course then explores CSR from an ethical and strategic perspective, examining how businesses can address stakeholder needs, societal expectations, and evolving CSR challenges through structured frameworks and responsible decision-making.
