Synopsis

MIP505 IP Business Strategy focusses on the strategic management of intellectual property (IP) as a valuable company asset to maximise its value. The course examines how IP influences the formulation of IP strategies and objectives, while analysing the effects of the business environment on IP. Students will learn how to adapt IP strategies to enhance their effectiveness, evaluate IP to identify potential business opportunities related to IP, develop marketing strategies for IP, and assess the market feasibility for these opportunities.
