Synopsis
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to design and facilitate effective mindfulness interventions tailored to the diverse needs of individuals. Grounded in evidence-based mindfulness practices, students will explore the theoretical foundations, clinical applications, and ethical considerations of integrating mindfulness into helping situations. Through interactive learning, case discussions, and experiential exercises, students will gain practical tools for guiding mindfulness practices in individual settings. The course also emphasises trauma-sensitive approaches, adaptations for different populations, and strategies for overcoming common challenges in facilitation. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to incorporate mindfulness interventions to enhance well-being.
