Synopsis

Majority of impact on climate change caused by the building industry is created during the operating phase due to resource and energy consumption and waste production. Hence, the way facilities are managed and operate has a substantial influence on the sustainability drive in the entire building sector, as well as the upcycling of building resources when their useful life ends. Facilities managers play important roles in developing and implementing sustainable policies aligned with their organisation’s sustainability agenda. FMT501 Circular Sustainable FM equips facilities managers with essential skills required to effectively manage facilities from a sustainable and circular economy perspective.
