Synopsis

FTH523 Cloud Computing and Quantum Computing: The Financial Revolution introduces the characteristics and evolution of cloud computing and quantum computing. The course first provides the fundamental concepts to understand various aspects of cloud computing and quantum computing. It then reviews the differences between quantum computers and our existing computing devices and further emphasises the characteristic that enables quantum computers to solve certain types of problems significantly faster than classical computers. This course provides students with a good understanding of cloud computing and quantum computing technologies with the potential to transform various industries and advance technological capabilities.
