Synopsis
MBA513 Impactful Leadership introduces students to the critical concepts of leadership including powerful leadership characteristics and behaviours, and the core activities that leaders must perform to build sustainable businesses. Given leaders only achieve outcomes through their teams, the course explains how leaders build trust with their teams, while also creating a culture of accountability and recognition, both in their local business as well as across international operations. Students will additionally learn the key elements of providing performance appraisals, and how to coach and mentor their teams. Other critical business improvement levers that students will be exposed to include an understanding of strategic frameworks, business models and organisational structures. Moreover, students will learn how to present with impact, work with boards and investors and handle the stress of leading in crisis situations.
