Synopsis
MBA553 Blockchain × AI: Challenges and Opportunities critically examines the synergies between blockchain technology and artificial intelligence, i.e., the Blockchain × AI domain. It aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both fields, their unique features, and the challenges and opportunities in the convergence of both technologies. It offers insights into how blockchain’s immutability can accelerate AI development and adoption through tokenisation, nonfungible tokens, and token economy design. In addition, it examines existing AI algorithms and explores how they can be used to enhance security, efficiency, user experience, and risk management on blockchain networks and applications. Moreover, the course stimulates critical thinking about the security, privacy, and ethical challenges that may arise due to such integration, as well as its societal impact. Upon completion of the course, students will learn how to leverage the synergy between both technologies to solve complex problems and drive responsible innovation across various industries through a blend of theoretical knowledge, practical applications, and case studies.
