Goldwork Embroidery Workshop

About the Event

This workshop teaches you the basic techniques of Goldwork embroidery, which dates back to the 19th century and was used in fashion ateliers such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Dior. This is the highest level of luxury embroidery - with its sculptural application of 3-dimensional embroidery using gold coiled threads, sequins, and gold beading - all of which participants will be taught to apply. At the end of the class, each participant will bring back a piece of couture.
