Insights from Research on Parental Involvement: Building Effective Home-School Collaborations for Early Years Success

This presentation will explore the critical role of parents in early childhood education within the Asian context, drawing on recent research and findings related to parental involvement and home-school partnerships. I will introduce my research on parenting practices and parental involvement in Asian families, highlighting key findings that underscore the importance of fostering strong home-school collaborations to support children's development during the early years and through the transition to primary school.

Drawing evidence from my research, I will discuss practical strategies for enhancing parent education and engagement, emphasizing how effective home-school partnerships can positively influence children's development and readiness for school transitions. I will also share insights from my knowledge transfer projects, which involve developing evidence-based educational materials designed for implementation in both schools and at home.
