Recent legal and regulatory developments in digital currencies merit an examination of the treatment of digital currencies as “money”. This webinar will involve a panel discussion of the recent developments in digital currencies, as examined in different contexts. It will provide a high-level overview of the treatment of digital currencies during insolvency, Singapore’s new stablecoin regulatory framework and recent digital payment token regulatory measures, and China’s development of central bank digital currency.
