Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) student and national kickboxer Shaikh Abdullah Bin Mohamed Rafi made his mark at the 1st Thailand Kickboxing World Cup, overcoming food poisoning to claim two bronze medals and two 5th-place finishes in fiercely contested divisions.

The tournament marked a significant milestone in Shaikh Abdullah's athletic career, as he secured his 10th international medal across taekwondo and kickboxing. Reflecting on his achievement, the determined athlete shared: "This competition pushed me to my limits, but it proved that with enough heart and perseverance, no obstacle is too great. I owe this success to my family, coaches, and teammates who stood by me every step of the way."

Fresh from this success, Shaikh Abdullah is now preparing for two major upcoming competitions: the 2025 Abu Dhabi Kickboxing World Championships in November and the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand this December. "The road ahead is challenging, but I'm fully committed to representing Singapore and SUSS at the highest level," he stated.
