Social Sustainability Leadership Forum (SSLF) 2025

On 3rd to 11th July 2025, the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) proudly hosted the Social Sustainability Leadership Forum (SSLF) 2025. This prestigious forum brought together student leaders from across the globe, including China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Poland, Canada, Taiwan, and more, to explore pressing social sustainability challenges and collaboratively develop actionable solutions. 

Rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SSLF 2025 provided an immersive experience centered on empathy, inclusion, and collective action. This year’s compelling theme, “Empowering Good Health and Well-being in Our Society,” guided participants through an in-depth journey addressing critical topics such as public health, youth volunteerism, social innovation, and community impact. 

The forum featured a rich mix of workshops, country-sharing sessions, site visits, and cultural exchanges to inspire thoughtful reflection and dynamic dialogue. Facilitated by Growthbeans, thought-provoking discussions and visits to organisations championing social good revealed how businesses and social enterprises integrate well-being and sustainability at their core, showcasing powerful examples of purpose-driven leadership in action. 

Participants also engaged in impactful experiences like the Youths in Bloom volunteering programme and the Human Library session, activities that fostered meaningful intergenerational connections and highlighted that genuine leadership starts with presence, compassion, and service. 

As the forum concluded, teams presented their final workshops and innovative project pitches — the culmination of days rich with collaboration, creativity, and heartfelt commitment. Their ideas were ambitious, empathetic, and deeply attuned to the needs of the communities they aspire to serve. 

The event wrapped up on an uplifting note with vibrant cultural performances, where each group proudly shared artistic expressions from their heritage, celebrating diversity, unity, and a shared vision for a compassionate and sustainable future. 

SSLF 2025 was more than a forum; it was a catalyst for ideas, friendships, and meaningful change. It reaffirmed that impactful leadership begins with honest conversations, human connections, and the courage to lead with heart. We hope all participants will carry forward the spirit of collaboration and advocacy, sparking ongoing positive ripples within their communities.
