Each year, the SUSS Faculty Appreciation Event (FAE) brings together the heart of our academic community and the dedicated educators who shape our students' learning experiences. The 2025 edition of the FAE, held at Conrad Singapore Orchard on 25 July, paid tribute to the spirit of service and innovation demonstrated by our full-time and associate faculty, educators who continue to inspire the future of teaching excellence through passion and purpose.
An Evening of Recognition and Reflection
Kicking off the evening was a welcome address by SUSS President Professor Tan Tai Yong, who conveyed his appreciation for the faculty's contributions and set the tone for the evening's celebrations.

This was followed by a speech from Provost Professor Robbie Goh, who echoed the sentiment of gratitude and acknowledged the collective efforts of the teaching community in advancing the university's educational mission.

Over dinner, guests engaged in lively conversations. They celebrated the achievements of their peers, including a special video showcase honouring the recipients of the Outstanding Teaching Award (OTA). These individuals have empowered students through their passionate teaching and supportive mentorship.
Honouring Outstanding Contributions

The Senior Associate Faculty Appointment recognised long-serving associate faculty members for their sustained contributions and leadership in the SUSS teaching community.
The Special Award in Innovative Pedagogy celebrated inventive approaches to classroom teaching that enriched the learning experience.
Also spotlighted was the StudyGuide Excellence Award, which honoured Course Developers and Heads of Programmes for crafting exemplary iSmartGuides that support learning through clarity and structure.
