This year’s Singapore Young Leader Programme (SYLP), supported by the Ministry of Education (MOE) marked a meaningful journey of learning, collaboration, and community impact. After completing the SYLP course and under the guidance of GrowthBeans, students partnered with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) to co-create workshops. These sessions explored themes such as overcoming imposter syndrome, rewriting personal narratives, capturing meaningful moments through photography, and fostering positivity through interactive games.

Through this process, students developed practical approaches to addressing everyday challenges and gained a more profound sense of empathy, understanding, and appreciation for diverse perspectives. The experience allowed them to step into the shoes of others, listen to authentic lived experiences, and design inclusive and impactful solutions together.

The programme culminated in a Closing Ceremony on 30 August, graced by former Deputy Prime Minister Mr Heng Swee Keat, who shared words of encouragement. Students presented their workshop outcomes, showcasing the creativity, collaboration, and dedication that defined their efforts. The event celebrated growth, resilience, and the spirit of partnership, reflecting the positive impact of empowering youth leaders to create meaningful change in the community.
