For the third year running, SUSS Bowling and Ray of Hope came together for the annual Sports for Good — creating meaningful opportunities to connect communities through sport.

The event brought together SUSS students, migrant workers, and volunteers in a shared space of bowling, bonding, and belonging.

To foster inclusivity and fair play, teams were intentionally mixed across all groups. What began as strangers coming together quickly evolved into teams building rapport, sharing conversations, and forming new friendships.

On the lanes, the focus extended beyond the game. Participants encouraged one another, shared tips, and celebrated every effort. The alley was filled with cheers, laughter, and high-fives—reflecting a genuine sense of camaraderie.

Beyond the competition, participants gathered for a Lo Hei and lunch—sharing a traditional moment of tossing Yu Sheng for prosperity and good fortune. More importantly, it was a time of shared stories, laughter, and connection.

One participant, Pandiyan Selvamurugan, shared that the event allowed him to enjoy meaningful interactions and create memories he looks forward to sharing with his family.

Joel Young, Team Captain of SUSS Bowling, reflected that the event’s significance lies in bringing people together beyond words—where shared experiences and simple moments foster real connections.
