Bringing together senior leaders from the Green, Industry 4.0, Care and Digital sectors, the IAC serves as a strategic advisory body that provides independent industry perspectives to guide SUSS Academy's Continuing Education and Training (CET) strategy.
The establishment of the Council reflects SUSS Academy’s commitment to staying closely connected to industry and ensuring that its programmes remain relevant to the changing needs of businesses, professionals and Singapore’s workforce.
Connecting Learning with Industry
The Industry Advisory Council will advise SUSS Academy on long-term priorities, emerging opportunities and strategic partnerships that can strengthen the Academy’s relevance and impact within Singapore’s lifelong learning ecosystem.
Through its collective industry experience, the Council will contribute perspectives in four key areas:
Providing Strategic Direction The Council will offer perspectives on the long-term direction of SUSS Academy’s CET portfolio, with consideration for Singapore’s national skills agenda, economic transformation priorities and workforce development needs. Members will also share insights into emerging technologies, business models and workforce trends that may shape the future learning landscape. |
Identifying Growth Opportunities Members will advise on potential areas for new programme development, interdisciplinary learning and expansion into emerging industries or market segments. The Council will also identify opportunities to strengthen SUSS Academy’s position as a trusted lifelong learning partner. |
Strengthening Industry Collaboration The Council will provide guidance on deepening engagement with businesses, government agencies and professional bodies. It may also facilitate connections that support collaborative initiatives, capability development and workforce transformation. |
Ensuring Continued Market Relevance Members will provide high-level feedback on whether SUSS Academy’s CET strategy and programme portfolio remain responsive to evolving industry needs, including areas that may warrant greater strategic attention. |
