Strengthening International Partnerships
IAIC continued to grow as new member institutions joined the alliance, expanding a global network united by a shared commitment to integrated care. More than increasing membership, these partnerships strengthened opportunities for collaborative research, education and knowledge exchange, enabling members to learn from one another and develop solutions that create impact across healthcare, community and social care settings.
Turning Dialogue into Action
IAIC 2025 embodied how meaningful collaboration extends beyond conversation. Learning Beyond the Conference Room
As part of IAIC 2025, delegates stepped into the community to experience integrated care in action at TOUCHpoint @ AMK 433. The visit offered a first-hand look at how healthcare, social care and community services work together to help older adults age well within their own communities.
Guided by practitioners, community partners and the experiences of seniors themselves, the learning journey demonstrated that integrated care is built not only through services, but through collaboration, relationships and a shared commitment to person-centred care. This reflected TOUCH's approach to supporting seniors through community enablement, rehabilitation, caregiver support and active ageing initiatives.
From Vision to Community Impact
The learning journey began with an introduction to TOUCH's approach to community-based integrated care. Delegates explored how healthcare, social care and community partnerships come together to help older adults age well within their own communities.
More than an overview of services, the session revealed the thinking behind the model, showing how collaboration, prevention and community enablement are woven together to create a more connected, person-centred approach to care.
Community Care in Practice
Delegates toured TOUCH's community spaces, where rehabilitation, caregiver support, active ageing programmes and health services come together within a single neighbourhood. Seeing these services operating side by side illustrated how integrated care is delivered through everyday collaboration across disciplines.

Turning Collaboration into Shared Knowledge
IAIC Multi-Region Study Report 2025 IAIC's first collaborative research publication brought together perspectives from Canada, China, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore and the United Kingdom to explore perceptions of ageing and ageing well. More than a research report, it demonstrates how international partnerships can generate shared evidence that informs policy, practice and future innovation in integrated care.
Growing the Alliance Beyond Borders
IAIC welcomed new member institutions and formalised additional local chapters, strengthening a growing international network committed to advancing integrated care. These partnerships create new opportunities for collaborative research, education and knowledge exchange, ensuring the alliance continues to deliver meaningful impact across borders.
Creativity Meets Healthy Ageing
NAFA × Lion Befrienders Fashion Showcase
Healthy ageing extends beyond healthcare. Co-created by student designers and older adults, the Fashion Showcase demonstrated how inclusive design, intergenerational collaboration and lived experience can promote dignity, confidence and active participation in later life. More than a fashion presentation, it illustrated how creativity can inspire more inclusive communities and support healthier ageing.
Looking Ahead
Every IAIC gathering builds on the progress of the one before it. The handover to Royal Holloway, University of London marked the beginning of the alliance's next chapter, symbolising the shared responsibility of members to continue advancing integrated care through international collaboration. As IAIC moves forward, each host contributes new perspectives while strengthening a collective vision for the future.
