Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship aims:

  1. To equip learners with the mindset and skillset to develop effective and sustainable solutions for a more inclusive and sustainable society in an increasing complex and uncertain environment.

  2. To develop a good appreciation of social and environmental issues in Singapore and the corresponding social and environmental policies in Singapore.

  3. To equip learners with relevant knowledge, skills, and experience to turn ideas into reality.

  4. To create opportunities for managers and leaders of the private, public, and public sector to immerse in exchange of ideas, sharing of perspectives, and develop relationship that will facilitate cross-sectoral partnership; and

  5. To support business enterprises, social enterprises, non-profit organisations, and public sector with a comprehensive post-graduate programme to develop their human capital.

Career Prospects

The programme is designed for leaners to acquire skills relevant to the skills demand for managers and executives in the care economy and green economy. These two sectors have been highlighted by SkillsFuture Singapore’s report: “Skills Demand for the Future Economy (2021)”.

Admission Requirements

Refer to general admission criteria for graduate programmes.

Applicants to the Social Entrepreneurship programme will need to submit a resume and a short personal statement (not more than 500 words) on the reasons for applying for the programme.
