The SUSS University Research Office (URO) Working Paper Series provides a platform for SUSS academics and researchers to share their ongoing research, emerging findings and scholarly ideas with the wider academic community.

As SUSS continues to strengthen its research culture, the Working Paper Series aims to encourage scholarly exchange, promote research visibility and support the development of research towards future academic publications and practical applications.

The Series welcomes a range of scholarly contributions, including empirical studies, conceptual and theoretical papers, methodological discussions, literature reviews, and research-informed policy papers. Collaborative submissions involving SUSS researchers and external partners are also welcome.

Submission and Publication

The Working Paper Series operates on an open-call basis, with submissions accepted throughout the year. Each paper should not exceed 20 pages, including references and appendices.

All submissions undergo a light-touch editorial review to ensure scholarly quality, clarity and relevance. Working papers are not formally peer-reviewed journal publications and may subsequently be developed for submission to academic journals or other scholarly outlets, subject to the relevant publishers' policies.

The Series publishes up to six working papers annually, subject to editorial approval.

We welcome contributions from SUSS academics and researchers and look forward to showcasing the diversity of research undertaken across the University.
