Advancing human potential. Strengthening lives. Building communities.
The Counselling, Coaching & Community Building Cluster at the S R Nathan School of Human Development, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), develops professionals who enable individuals, families and communities to thrive.
We integrate rigorous academic foundations with applied learning and professional practice, equipping our learners with the knowledge, skills and perspectives to respond to the evolving needs of society. Our approach is grounded in evidence-informed practice, ethical leadership, cultural responsiveness and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Our work spans three interconnected areas:
- Counselling
Developing skilled and compassionate practitioners who support psychological wellbeing, resilience, relationships and positive change across diverse life contexts.
- Professional Life-Coaching
Enabling individuals to navigate transitions, clarify aspirations and unlock their potential through purposeful, evidence-informed coaching practice.
- Youth Community Building
Empowering practitioners to engage and inspire young people, foster belonging and resilience, and build inclusive communities where youth can connect, contribute and flourish.
Together, these areas reflect our holistic approach to human developmentāmoving beyond addressing challenges to enabling growth, purpose and meaningful participation in society.
Through education, professional practice, research and community engagement, the Counselling, Coaching & Community Building Cluster contributes to a more resilient and inclusive society, while advancing the development of professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
