SUSS Business Analytics Students Crowned Champions at Accenture University Innovation Challenge 2026 (Singapore)
We are proud to share that Team Rainbow Beans-comprising Year 2 Business Analytics students Wong Jung Yong, Lee Jia Xuan, Muhammad Nur Syahmi Bin Effendi, Loo Sing Yu, and Daniel Lye are the champions of the Accenture University Innovation Challenge 2026!
We would also like to congratulate Team LSSS, comprising Business Analytics and Information and Communication Technology students, Shreeya Bachina, Shanthal Palaniappan, Vedhaashiinii Ashogaraj, and Lakshmi Urs, for being one of the top six finalists!
Accenture University Innovation Challenge 2026 focused on AI and Smart Nation 2.0, involving 12 teams from various universities. This year’s challenge saw participants collaborate with Accenture mentors over two weeks from 12th-23rd January, 2026 to create innovative, future-ready solutions. They gained firsthand exposure to consulting work with one of the global leaders in the industry and a chance to land an internship with the company!
Over two weeks, they dove deep into the complexities of the financial industry to answer a critical question: How to redesign Singapore’s white-collar work for an AI-native era? Their answer was “GlassBox”, described as the world's first Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Co-Pilot, designed to redefine white-collar work in the AI-native era. Focusing on human-centric AI, they designed a solution that empowers analysts to move from data gathering to high-value investigation, using confidence bands, dashboards, and agentic workflows to build trust in the system. At the National Finals held at the Accenture Singapore office, they competed alongside teams from NTU, SMU, and one of their own.
More than just a competition, this experience was a testament to our students’ growth, innovativeness, and collaborative spirit. Congratulations to both the teams for flying the SUSS & SBIZ flag high!
