Synopsis

BPM107 Construction IT & Building Information Modeling will give students an insight of construction IT and BIM used in construction project management. The course sets to equip students with essential knowledge in construction IT, ability to read and navigate in BIM software, knowledge of best modeling practice, and be able to apply modeling techniques. The buildingSMART Singapore DDM Accreditation Scheme offers Tier 4 Provisional accreditation for the BPM107 course. Graduates of the course are eligible for exemption from assessment at the Tier 4 level after gaining 1 year experience.

Trainer Info

Ar Jim Tan brings extensive experience in architecture and BIM, having led major projects locally and internationally. As a BIM consultant, he has implemented solutions and training for clients including Brunei’s Public Works Department, Shanghai Disneyland, Changi Airport T4, and Warner Bros Theme Park Abu Dhabi. He also lectures at BCA Academy, specializing in BIM, Autodesk Revit, and digital construction workflows.

Mr Nath Tushar holds postgraduate degrees in business and civil engineering from NTU, along with professional certifications in BIM, DfMA/IDD leadership, and digital technologies. He has extensive experience advancing digital transformation in the built environment sector, currently serving as Manager of Customer Success (APAC) at Autodesk and previously leading national digitalisation initiatives at Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority. His background spans digital innovation leadership, ICT roadmap development, academic research, and site engineering, and he also serves as an adjunct lecturer in BIM and digital construction at multiple institutions.


Course Completion requirements

  • Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
  • Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
