This course equips learners with essential skills to administer construction contracts, including understanding major standard forms (PSSCOC, SIA, REDAS), handling variations, extensions of time, liquidated damages, payment processes, final accounts, subcontracting, risk allocation, and indemnity/insurance clauses. These competencies are directly relevant for roles in contract administration, project management, and quantity surveying, where effective management of contractual obligations and claims is critical. It also supports upskilling and reskilling by strengthening learners’ ability to interpret contract provisions, advise on contractual issues, and manage compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Trainer Info
Mr Alphonsus Ee holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Building from the National University of Singapore and an MBA (Merit) from the University of Nottingham, supported by additional qualifications in workplace safety and fire safety management. He has extensive experience across Singapore’s built environment sector, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic.
Ms Daphne Lee holds a Master’s in Project Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Building from the National University of Singapore, and is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). She brings over three decades of experience in the building and construction industry, having progressed from Quantity Surveyor to Executive Director at AECOM Cost Consulting, where she led major bids and high-value projects across Singapore and overseas. She currently has her own Quantity Surveying firm – D. Lee Consultancy and Management. Ms Lee also contributes to professional education as a part-time lecturer at National University of Singapore, teaching procurement and contract administration.
Ar Maureen Soh is an architect and construction law specialist with over 20 years of professional experience. She holds a Master of Science in Construction Law & Arbitration from King’s College London and the National University of Singapore, as well as bachelor’s degrees in Architecture from NUS. She is currently Senior Vice President at CPG Consultants, with a career spanning design leadership, project management, and contract administration. Maureen also teaches architectural practice at NUS, advises professional examinations, and is a accredited mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre, and a member of the Singapore International Mediation Institute.
Mr Ezani Rais Bin Shaiks Salim is a registered Quantity Surveyor and experienced contract and dispute adviser, holding Master of Law and Bachelor of Building. His career includes senior roles in contract management, advisory, and corporate development across international consultancies and infrastructure firms. He has led adjudication, arbitration, and expert witness engagements, contributed to standard contract conditions, and worked on major landmark projects such as the PETRONAS Twin Towers and large-scale expressway and power plant developments.
Course Completion requirements
- Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
- Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
- The course fees are reviewed annually and may be revised. The University reserves the right to adjust the course fees without prior notice.
