Synopsis

Collaborative contracting is a framework which allow all team members to collaborate, share information and develop solutions in line with the objectives of all parties and increase productivity. This course aims to equip students with the knowledge in contractual framework for Collaborative Contracting. It covers key principles, pros and cons of collaborative contracting. The improvement of economic and social value by having early contractor involvement and supply chain collaboration will be discussed.

Trainer Info

Ms Maureen Soh is a seasoned architect with over two decades of experience leading multidisciplinary teams in the design, coordination, and delivery of diverse building projects, including governance, institutional, residential, and recreational facilities. Her expertise spans construction project management, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration, supported by formal training in construction law and dispute resolution. Beyond practice, she is deeply involved in professional education, having taught architectural practice at the National University of Singapore, supervised Board of Architects Professional Practice Exam candidates, and conducted corporate training on building contracts. She holds a Master of Science in Construction Law and Arbitration, a Bachelor of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Arts (Architectural Studies), and is a Registered Architect, accredited mediator, and long‑serving Vice President at CPG Consultants.


Mr Jagateesan Sathiaseelan is a Partner and Co‑Head of the Construction & Engineering Practice at Allen & Gledhill, specializing in both contentious and non‑contentious construction, engineering, infrastructure, and energy project matters. He represents government agencies, developers, contractors, and multinational corporations in complex, high‑value disputes involving arbitration, litigation, adjudication, and mediation. He also provides extensive front‑end advisory work on tender and project documentation across major regional developments, including large‑scale mixed‑use, infrastructure, and public‑sector projects. Recognized by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Chambers Asia‑Pacific, asialaw Leading Lawyers, and Benchmark Asia‑Pacific for his expertise, he is praised for his deep construction law knowledge, practical insight, and strategic counsel. Sathiaseelan holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore, was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2003, joined the firm the same year, completed a secondment at 4 Pump Court Chambers in London, and became Partner in 2009. He is an Accredited Specialist in Building and Construction Law with the Singapore Academy of Law and an Accredited Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre.


Course Completion requirements

  • Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
  • Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
