Synopsis

The course introduces engineering students to the importance of understanding the characteristics and applications of Intellectual Property and Patents. Industry examples of case studies will be deployed in the teaching/student assessment of performance in the course.

Trainer Info

Mr. Chan Eng Tiong Carl is a seasoned finance and sustainability professional with over 30 years of experience across banking, commodities, structured finance, and social enterprise leadership. He is the Managing Director of SteppingStones Pte Ltd, a for profit social enterprise, and a Consultant with Lutheran Community Care Services, where he advises on sustainability and strategic development. Mr. Chan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.


Course Completion requirements

  • Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
  • Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
