Synopsis

FMT303 Property Law will introduce to students the basic principles of property law in relation to the ownership, transaction and tenancy of property. Topics include the possession of land, creation and transfer of interests/ownership in property, tenures and estates in co-ownership, mortgages and other interests in land, community title schemes and drafting of leases and other documents, other relevant legal requirements in the real estate business including in relation to planning approvals process and the BMSA Act and other regulations.

Trainer Info

Mr Chow Miew Sek is an Associate Faculty, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) – teaching in the BSc (Facilities Management) program under the School of Science & Technology. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration from Imperial College in 2001 and BSc (Hons) Estate Management in 1995 from University of Reading. He has over 20 years of teaching and professional experiences in real estate and facilities management. He has experiences in curriculum development and lecturing at diploma and bachelor's levels. He has completed the Green Mark Manager and Green Mark Facilities Management courses.


Dr Anne Magdalene Neto is an Associate of the Singapore University of Social Sciences who lectures in the BSc (Facilities Management) Program offered in the School of Science & Technology. She has an LLB from the University of London and is a UK Barrister. She is also a Singapore qualified lawyer. She also holds a Masters in Construction Law & Arbitration and a PhD from King’s College, London. She has experience teaching in several universities in Singapore and industry experience in the construction and energy sectors.


Course Completion requirements

  • Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
  • Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
