Trainer Info

Dr John Zaw is the Associate Faculty member in the School of Science and Technology at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). He currently leads several modules, including Energy Management and Audit (FMT307), Sustainable Buildings (FMT315), and Low Energy and Energy Efficient Buildings (FMT502). In addition to his role at SUSS, he also delivers lectures at the BCA Academy, Singapore Polytechnic, and Temasek Polytechnic.

From 2010 to 2020, Dr. John Min was appointed as a member of the Technical Committee on "Building Maintenance and Management" by the Singapore Standards Council. This committee is responsible for the review and approval of Singapore Standard Codes of Practice. Notably, several relevant standards, such as the Code of Practice for Energy Efficiency Standard for Building Services and Equipment (SS 530), the Code of Practice for Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation in Buildings (SS 553), the Code of Practice for Indoor Air Quality for Air-Conditioned Buildings (SS 554), and the Code of Practice for Long-Term Measurement of Central Chilled Water System Energy Efficiency (SS 591), fall under the purview of this technical committee.

Dr Muhammad Fadzli Bin Hassan holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and is currently a Senior Lecturer at BCA Academy. At BCA he is involved in curriculum planning, academic quality assurance, and specialist diploma programme development.

He has over a decade of teaching experience across diploma, specialist diploma, and degree programmes in mechanical engineering, facilities management, and M&E coordination. He has supervised over 200 final-year students in industry-based projects.

Dr Fadzli is also an adjunct lecturer with local universities, including the Singapore University of Social Sciences.

For the past four years, he has been teaching FMT101, where he focuses on grounding students in core facilities management principles and real-world applications. In FMT307, he builds on this foundation by integrating engineering fundamentals, sustainability considerations, and data-driven decision-making to strengthen students’ strategic and operational competencies in facilities management.

He holds professional qualifications in data analytics, risk management, and adult education.
