This course introduces software that can assist the modern music composer in the process of music composition. Basic music theory and digital piano playing skills will be introduced to absolute beginners who have no prior music background.

Trainer Info

Dr Wong Joon Hwang is an accomplished music educator and researcher with extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Musicology from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor of Music (Hons) from Ohio University, USA. Her expertise spans music history, theory, choral music, and interdisciplinary learning, and she has taught at leading institutions including the Singapore University of Social Sciences, Raffles Institution, and the School of the Arts. Dr. Wong has presented at international conferences, published research on music education and thinking skills, and served as a consultant for music pedagogy programs. Passionate about fostering creativity and lifelong learning, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her students.



Course Completion requirements

  • Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
  • Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
