Synopsis

This one-day course is designed for participants from non-profit organizations, NGOs, VWOs, and associations seeking to enhance their strategic planning, leadership and succession planning efforts. The course will introduce the fundamentals of strategic thinking, environmental scanning, and internal assessment specific to the nonprofit sector, equipping participants with the tools needed to formulate and implement effective strategies. In addition, the program will dive into the evolution of non-profits and volunteer-based organizations to explore strategic and leadership planning. Through a combination of lectures and discussions, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of strategic and leadership best practices to drive organizational sustainability

He encourages clients to experiment with pragmatic and creative micro-actions that form new habits, unleashing the hidden potential of both clients and their businesses.

Lucas is an experienced business and people leader from the tech industry. His career spans SE Asia and China in a variety of sectors, government agencies, management consulting, and a tech unicorn. Lucas was an early member and a senior executive at Sea Group (NYSE: SE), playing a significant role in growing the company from a thirty-member start-up into the largest tech company from SE Asia with 30,000 employees in ten years.

As the VP of the Group CEO’s office, Lucas worked directly with the founder on strategic initiatives, including capital raising, strategic planning, and critical partnerships. In the capacity of Singapore and Malaysia’s CEO, he improved the profit margin by 16% while growing the top line of the business. Lucas also founded the company’s management associate programme, and groomed more than one hundred young talents, some of which have since taken on key leadership roles such as country heads. At the game business unit, he revamped the management and people processes by aligning the leadership team, aggressive hiring and restructuring, and strengthening the core values. This led to a record one-billion-dollar EBITDA in one year.

Lucas holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD, an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford, and a B.A. in Computer Science from Cambridge. He is trained as an executive coach with the ICF accredited Neuro-Leadership Institute and Bailey-Balfour, and is certified to deliver Hogan assessment. Lucas is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.

Course Fee

1 Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy: Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fees.
2 Enhanced Training Support for SMEs: SME-sponsored employees (Singaporean Citizens and PRs) aged 21 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fees.

 

  • Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
  • Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
  • The course fees are reviewed annually and may be revised. The University reserves the right to adjust the course fees without prior notice.
  • Singapore University of Social Sciences reserves the right to amend and/or revise the above schedule without prior notice.

Course Withdrawal and Refund

Request for withdrawal from a course must be submitted to SUSS Academy formally in writing.
