Synopsis

Strategic Impact & Financial Management is a one-day, application-focused course designed to equip professionals in the nonprofit and social impact sectors with essential skills to align financial planning with measurable outcomes. This course integrates impact measurement and financial management into a unified approach that supports strategic decision-making, resource optimisation, and organisational accountability.

Participants will explore how to use financial data and social impact metrics together to plan, communicate, and evaluate programmes more effectively. The course focuses on building financial acumen while fostering a performance-driven culture that prioritises transparency, efficiency, and mission alignment.

About the Trainer

Tan Wui-Hua

Tan Wui-Hua is an associate lecturer and former Chief Financial Officer with over 20 years of international executive experience. A recipient of the SUSS Excellence in Teaching Award, he currently teaches at SUSS, RMIT University, and the University of London. He holds a Master of Business in Professional Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, Australia. He equips fundraisers with practical skills in impact measurement, financial literacy, and strategic accountability to strengthen donor confidence and organisational sustainability.

 

 

Course Fee

Course Fee for 875 dollars

1 Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy: Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fees.
2 Enhanced Training Support for SMEs: SME-sponsored employees (Singaporean Citizens and PRs) aged 21 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fees.

  • Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
  • Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
  • The course fees are reviewed annually and may be revised. The University reserves the right to adjust the course fees without prior notice.

Course Withdrawal and Refund

Request for withdrawal from a course must be submitted to SUSS Academy formally in writing.

  • Course Withdrawal before Application Close Date: No charges.
  • Course Withdrawal after course confirmation: 50% of the full course fee with an administration fee imposed.
