Poster & Paper Presentations: Submission Guidelines
Abstracts must provide a brief but comprehensive summary of the study. It should address the following in 250-500 words:
Title
Necessity of the study
Purpose and research question(s)
Research method(s) including participants, tools or measure, and data analysis
Summary of findings, conclusions, and implication(s)
For ongoing research studies, expected outcomes and anticipated contribution of the research would suffice.

Roundtables
New to PECERA 2026, roundtables are offered alongside posters and paper presentations as an alternative format. Each room can have up to 6 roundtables running concurrently. The allocated time is 90 minutes, within which you could do at least 2 back-to-back presentations and meet two different groups of participants, with rest time in-between. For this format, you will be seated at a table, presenting from your own laptop. Seated at your table, you could have up to 10 participants and you will be sharing from your laptop (optional for you to bring handouts). Present for about 20 minutes and have an intimate and in-depth discussion for another 15 minutes. You may submit your abstract as a roundtable presentation under Call for Abstracts.
Young Scholar Award
The Young Scholar Award (YSA) is established in honour of Professor Emeritus Bernard Spodek, who founded PECERA to promote the exchange and dissemination of Early Childhood Education (ECE) research conducted in the Asia Pacific region.
The aim of the award is to recognize outstanding research of postgraduate students and/or early career scholars in ECE and encourage their participation in the PECERA International Annual Conference for the advancement of our field, especially in the Asia Pacific region.
This Award is granted annually at the PECERA International Conference. You may apply for this award in the submission form for this year’s conference.
The PECERA International Executive Board has updated the criteria for the Young Scholar Award (YSA):
- YSA recipients must be members of PECERA that year. Therefore, YSA applicants must join PECERA membership before submitting their abstracts.
- At the time of abstract submission, applicants must confirm that the abstract has not been submitted to any other journal.
- YSA applicants must pledge that, if they receive the Young Scholar Award, they will submit their paper to APJRECE.
- If the recipient fails to honor this pledge, the Young Scholar Award will be revoked.
- Manuscript submitted by YSA recipients will be assigned to a fast-track review process.
- Manuscript submitted by YSA recipients will undergo the review process in accordance with APJRECE’s editorial and review policies.
