How to apply

There is one admission intake a year for the full-time undergraduate programmes. You can apply for admission during the application period.

The application and selection processes are as follows:

e-Application Guide and Forms 

Application for full-time undergraduate programmes is to be made online. Only paid applications will be processed. You will receive an acknowledgement notification and receipt via email for successful submission of your online application. Click here to view the step-by-step guide for the eApplication. Download the Document Checklist to help in your preparation. Application for the July 2025 intake has closed. Application for the next intake, July 2026, will begin in November 2025.

Important Notes

  • A non-refundable application fee of S$15 (Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents) and S$30 (International Students), inclusive of prevailing GST, is charged for each application. Each applicant should submit only one application form.

  • All applications must be accompanied by copies of supporting documents.

  • Applicants may select up to four choices of their preferred programmes during application. The four choices are ranked from first to fourth choice, and applicants are shortlisted and invited for interviews based on their choices. If you do not meet the shortlisting criteria for your first programme choice, you will be considered for your second choice, and so on.

    In addition, applicants who have interest in the Early Childhood Education, Psychology and/or Social Work programmes should note the following:
    • For Early Childhood Education, Psychology and Social Work programmes – besides meeting the course requirements, applicants are required to rank these programmes within the first and second choice to be considered for shortlisting for interview.

  • Once an application is submitted, the programme choices and ranking are deemed as final. No further changes may be made.
     
  • Applicants who do not meet the minimum age requirement will be required to provide schooling history from Primary/ Grade 1 with the enclosed form and upload it to the online application for assessment of the applicant's eligibility for admission.

Applicants may check their application status here. Applicants who do not receive an interview invitation will be notified that their application is unsuccessful and will not be considered further in this admissions cycle.

Updating of Contact Information

If there are any changes to your contact information, especially your email address and contact number, please update us promptly via an email to [email protected]. This is to ensure that notifications are delivered to you.


Notification of Application Status

You will receive notification of your application status via email between February and July. You may also check your application status here.


Selection Process

Shortlisted applicants may undergo up to three-stage selection process for SUSS full-time programmes - comprising a response essay, an online cognitive test and a programme-specific interview or assessment centre - within the same day. International students not based in Singapore may have the option of attending the selection process virtually. Applicants will receive more information on the selection process when they have been shortlisted for interview.


Uploading of Additional Documents

Additional documents can be uploaded here from 1 April onwards. It is a one-time submission of up to a maximum of two additional documents and further submissions will not be allowed.


Acceptance of Offer

Successful applicants have to indicate acceptance of their offer on the Joint Acceptance Platform (JAP) during the acceptance period. Click here for more information on acceptance of offer.

Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) offers scholarships to outstanding new as well as existing students pursuing their undergraduate studies at the University. Selected scholarships may be applied concurrently with their full-time undergraduate programme application.

Applicants who have received a known application outcome (successful or unsuccessful) and wish to appeal against the admission decision, may submit their appeal via the appeal portal.

Application of Financial Aid

 

Various financial aid schemes are available for students who require financial assistance. Application may be submitted after you have been accepted for admission.

Student Insurance Scheme

Withdrawal

 

Should you decide to withdraw your acceptance after the acceptance period, you are required to complete and submit the Withdrawal Form to [email protected]. Enrolled students who withdraw from the University after semester commencement are liable to pay fees for the entire semester and the Tuition Grant awarded may be deemed as utilised.

Matriculation

 

Applicants who have accepted our offer will receive matriculation information from us via email, at least one working day after the window of acceptance period closes.

The matriculation portal will be made available for incoming full-time programme students in June. All incoming students must be matriculated officially via the portal before commencing your studies in SUSS.

SUSS Student Card

 

As a full-time undergraduate of SUSS, you will be entitled to concessionary travel under the Tertiary Student Concessionary Scheme.

Orientation

 

There is an orientation for all new students before their programmes commence. You will receive an email invitation to join the orientation from Student Services.
