Am I eligible to attend the Convocation Ceremony?
After the release of final results, you will receive an email to complete the Graduation Results Checking (GRC) exercise to verify your name and personal details. Once the GRC is completed and your degree has been conferred, you will receive a formal conferment letter along with details on the collection of your certificate and transcript, as well as information regarding the Convocation ceremony.
How do I know which session I will be attending?
Can I defer my attendance to a future ceremony?
Attendance at the Convocation Ceremony cannot be deferred. Each ceremony is held specifically for graduates who have been conferred within that academic year.
However, if you have a valid reason for not being able to attend, you may email us [email protected] for consideration. Please note that such requests will be subject to review and approval on a case-by-case basis.
If you are unable to attend, you will still receive your certificate and transcript according to the instructions provided in your conferment letter.
Will I receive my certificate if I do not attend Convocation?
Yes, you will still receive your degree certificate and official transcript even if you do not attend Convocation.
How do I RSVP for the Convocation?
Eligible graduates will receive an email invitation sent to their SUSS MyMail on 13 August 2025 (Wednesday). This email contains a link to the Graduation Portal, where you can RSVP, view your ceremony details, and indicate your attendance and guest information.
When is the deadline to register?
The RSVP deadline as stated in the invitation email is on 29 August 2025 (Friday) and on the Graduation Portal. Graduates are advised to respond by the deadline stated to confirm their attendance and secure their guest tickets.
What happens if I miss the RSVP deadline?
If you miss the RSVP deadline, you may not be able to attend the Convocation Ceremony or receive guest tickets. It is important to respond within the given timeframe. If you encounter issues, please contact the Convocation team at [email protected] as soon as possible.
Can I make changes to my RSVP after submitting?
Yes, you can log back into the Graduation Portal to make changes before the RSVP deadline. After the deadline, any amendments are subject to approval and may not be guaranteed.
Is it necessary to indicate my attendance for Convocation?
Where will the 2025 convocation be held at?
The SUSS Convocation 2025 will be held from 7 to 9 October 2025, with a total of eight sessions over three days, at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Level 6, Halls 603 and 604.
Can I bring food or drinks into the venue?

Is there complimentary parking?
Please note that complimentary parking is not available for the convocation. Public parking options are available nearby. For your convenience, we recommend parking lots closest to the venue.

Graduates’ Entry to the Hall
- Confirm your attendance at the registration counter.
- View your assigned seat number displayed on the screen.
- Proceed directly to your assigned seat.
I have accidentally deleted the email with the QR code. What should I do?
If you do not have access to the email containing your QR code, you may use your PI number at the registration counter to complete your check-in.
What happens if I’m late?
How can my guests (parents, family, friends, etc.) attend the ceremony?
Each graduate will receive three (3) guest invitations to attend the ceremony. Graduates may ballot for one (1) additional invitation, if needed, when they RSVP for the ceremony. However, please note that the additional invitation is subject to balloting and is not guaranteed.
Are there special seating arrangements for graduates and guests who are mobility-challenged (e.g. wheelchair users or those on crutches)?
Yes. For graduates and guests who require special assistance, please email [email protected] by 29 August 2025 (Friday) so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
What if my parents/ guests do not arrive after I have entered the hall?
If the ceremony has already started, ushers at the doors will hold and prompt guests to enter at an appropriate time, typically once the presentation of graduates has begun. Please ensure your guests follow the instructions of the ushers and have their Guest Admission Cards ready for entry.
Guest admission cards will be issued when you collect your academic regalia at Serangoon Broadway.
Can guests take photos or videos during the ceremony?
An official photographer has been engaged to capture each graduate's presentation on stage. Details on purchasing these photographs will be provided after the ceremony.
What is the age limit for admission of children into the hall?
- Each attendee, including children under 6 years old, will require an invitation card to enter the hall.
- Infants in arms will not require an invitation card.
If children become restless or cause a disturbance, we seek your cooperation in bringing them outside the hall promptly to avoid disruption to the ceremony.
What is the dress code for guests?
Can I change my session?
Graduates will be assigned a specific session based on their school and programme. Attendance is only permitted at the assigned session; changing or swapping sessions is not allowed.
How long is each ceremony session?
Graduates and guests are requested to remain seated for the entire duration of the ceremony as a mark of respect to all graduands and speakers.
Will there be a livestream of the ceremony?
Yes, the Convocation ceremonies will be livestreamed on YouTube for the convenience of family and friends who are unable to attend in person.
Do I have to wear the Academic Regalia?
You can place your order - either for rental or purchase through their Academic Dress Ordering System, using the ceremony code provided in your SUSS Convocation email. More information on ordering periods, fees, and other details can be found on this page.
What should I wear under my gown?
Can I keep the gown after Convocation?
Rental option: You must return the full gown set—gown, hood, and mortarboard—by the return deadline (26 October 2025, Sunday ). Upon return in good condition, your refundable deposit will be returned
What happens if I forget to bring my gown on the day?
Full academic regalia - including gown, hood, and mortarboard - is mandatory for participation in the Convocation ceremony. Graduands without their complete set will not be permitted to process or graduate on stage.

Can I still rent the academic regalia if I am not attending the Convocation?
Yes, graduands who are not attending the Convocation ceremony may still rent their academic regalia from Serangoon Broadway. Rental for non-attending graduands will be available from 9 November 2025 onwards, i.e., one month after the Convocation ceremony.
When can I collect my certificate?
For graduates attending the Convocation ceremony, you will receive your degree certificate after being presented on stage.
Please note that there will be NO on-site collection for graduates who are NOT attending the Convocation ceremonies from 7 to 9 October 2025.

If you are authorising someone to collect your certificate on your behalf, please ensure that the authorisation form is completed, and advise your authorised representative to bring along the form and all required documents for collection.
Will there be a reception or refreshments provided after the Convocation ceremony?
No, there will be no reception or refreshments provided following the ceremony. We encourage graduates and guests to eat beforehand or make their own arrangements if they wish to celebrate afterward
