Committed to the promotion of lifelong learning, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) offers a number of Sponsorships in recognition of excellent academic achievements, leadership qualities and special talents and contributions to new and continuing students.

The SUSS-NTUC Sponsorship scheme aims to provide suitable candidates with the opportunity to enrol in the graduate programmes with SUSS and develop skills for life.

Who is Eligible?

The sponsorship is open to all NTUC union members with NTUC Card. You should be a Singapore citizen or Permanent resident with impressive academic and co-curricular activities records, strong language skills, and demonstrable leadership qualities.

New students must meet the admission requirements for the programme of study being applied for at the University. They must separately seek admission to the programme, and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.
 

Tenure of Sponsorship

The sponsorship is awarded for the period required to complete the full programme of study.

Value of Sponsorship

The sponsorship will cover up to 50% of the total course fee. For PhD/Doctoral programme, the sponsorship is only applicable to the coursework part of the programme.

There is no bond attached to the sponsorship.

How to Apply?

Sponsorship application period:
January Semester: 1 August to 15 September
July Semester: 1 February to 15 March

To apply for the sponsorship, you need to submit your application online by the stipulated closing date.

Previously unsuccessful candidates need not re-apply.  Candidates will be notified of the application outcome via email by end November for the January Semester, and by end June for the July Semester.

The SUSS-SAFRA Sponsorship scheme aims to provide suitable candidates with the opportunity to enrol in graduate programmes with SUSS and develop skills for life.

Who is Eligible?

Application for the SUSS-SAFRA Sponsorship is open to all SAFRA Ordinary A (except NSFs) and Ordinary B members. You must have impressive academic and co-curricular activities records, strong language skills and demonstrable leadership qualities. 

New students must meet the admission requirements for the programme of study applied for at the University. They must separately seek admission to the programme and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.

The sponsorship is awarded for the period required to complete the full programme of study.

Value of Sponsorship

The sponsorship will cover up to 50% of the total course fee. For PhD/Doctoral programme, the sponsorship is only applicable to the coursework part of the programme.

The SUSS-HomeTeamNS Sponsorship scheme aims to provide suitable candidates with the opportunity to enrol in graduate programmes with SUSS and develop skills for life. 

Who is Eligible?

Application for the SUSS-HomeTeamNS Sponsorship is open to all HomeTeamNS Ordinary members, Associate members and staff who have at least 12 months' of membership validity. You must have impressive academic and co-curricular activities records, strong language skills and demonstrable leadership qualities.

New students must meet the admission requirements for the programme of study applied for at the University. They must separately seek admission to the programme and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.

The sponsorship is open to grassroots leaders with People's Association (PA) and/or its associated organisations as well as staff of PA. You should be a Singapore citizen or Permanent resident with impressive academic and co-curricular activities records, strong language skills, and demonstrable leadership qualities. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions on other eligibility criteria.

New students must meet the admission requirements for the programme of study being applied for at SUSS. They must separately seek admission to the programme, and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.

This sponsorship provides opportunity for high potential national players to pursue higher education with Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). 

Who is Eligible?

The sponsorship is open to Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident athletes nominated by the Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA). Nominated applicants must fulfil the selection criteria set by the University and STTA. They must meet the admission requirements for the applied course of study.

The sponsorship is awarded for the period required to complete the full programme of study. There is no bond attached to the sponsorship.

Who is Eligible?

The sponsorship is open to all graduates of the Diploma in Employment Development and Diploma in Employment Relations, offered by the University in collaboration with the Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute (OTCi). You should be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with impressive academic and co-curricular activities records, strong language skills, and demonstrable leadership qualities.

New students must meet the admission requirements for the applied programme of study at the University. They must separately seek admission to the programme and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.

The sponsorship is awarded for the period required to complete the full programme of study.
