Overview
The Specialist Certificate in Digital Content Marketing equips learners to plan, create, and manage compelling content across social and digital platforms to support branding and business objectives. It suits learners interested in roles such as content marketer, social media executive, digital strategist, or creator in the marketing and media fields.
The curriculum combines strategic and hands-on components, covering areas like social media management, content strategy, digital storytelling, and analytics-based optimisation of content performance. Learners gain experience in campaign planning, content calendars, video and multimedia projects, and evaluation of real-world cases to build a practical, portfolio-ready skill set.
Learners will develop both creative and analytical capabilities, learning to turn insights about audiences and platforms into content that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion. The specialist certificate consists of 6 courses, including 4 compulsory and 2 elective courses, which can be completed within 2 years.

| COM105 Media Communication in a Changing World | Learners can build a strong mix of storytelling, production, analytical, and strategic skills for digital content work. They learn how media systems and audiences operate, how to analyse issues and trends, and how to evaluate content in social, cultural, and ethical contexts. Learners also develop practical skills in scriptwriting, filming, editing, and digital content production across different formats and platforms, alongside writing, visual communication, and translation/localisation for multilingual audiences. In parallel, they practice planning and managing campaigns, interpreting social media and content performance metrics, and applying marketing and consumer insights so their creative work is strategically grounded and impact driven.

Eligibility
The specialist certificate is open to CET students as well as students enrolled in an undergraduate programme.
- At least 18 years of age.
- GCE A-Level with two passes (prior to 2006) or two H2 passes (from 2006), local polytechnic diploma, International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, or NUS High School diploma.
- Applicants with a ITE diploma or other diploma qualifications plus an acceptable SAT or ACT (with writing) score may be considered for admission on a case by case basis.
- If not, at least 5 GCE O-Level passes and an interview.
Fees
Please click here for the course fees. SkillsFuture Credit and other schemes may be used to offset the course fees.
The application fee is $60 (before GST) for first-time CET applications, which is non-refundable.
Completion
To attain the specialist certificate, students need to pass all the courses. Students are encouraged to complete all the courses within 3 years.
Upon meeting the requirements, CET students can apply for the certificate and go on to pursue the BSc Marketing. Only courses with at least a C grade can stack towards the bachelor’s degree.
Students enrolled in the BSc Marketing will be automatically issued the certificate upon meeting the requirements.
