Overview
This programme at Singapore University of Social Sciences provides technical depth and breadth to prepare graduates for a rewarding career in the electronics industry. It is structured to develop and train students with an in-depth knowledge of electronics, telecommunications, and IT.
Students have a choice for specialisation in areas such as VLSI design, analog and digital control system design, telecommunication system design and multimedia systems.

Career Prospects
The Electronics programme is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Board (EAB), Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES). Through this accreditation the BEng Electronics degree is recognised in Singapore and 14 other countries (Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States) following the Washington Accord. Graduates from this programme should be able to work in industries such as Electronics, Telecommunication, Semiconductor foundries and Control plants amongst others.
Programme Structure
This is a direct honours programme. Graduating students who meet the eligibility criteria for honours classification will be awarded an honours degree based on aggregate academic performance measured by the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) assessed throughout the degree programme.
To graduate with an honours degree, students are to complete a total of 170 credit units (cu), which include:
- 20 cu of SUSS Core courses
- 120 cu of Major Compulsory courses
- 30 cu of Major Elective courses
The curriculum is structured such that:
- Level 1 courses consist of basic analogue and digital electronics design courses.
- Level 2 courses cover linear system design and analysis courses.
- Level 3 courses cover advanced electronics engineering courses such as microprocessor programming, signal processing, communications and electives such as control systems, semiconductors, VLSI design, radar and RF system.
- Level 4 - Compulsory Capstone Electronics Project.
