About Local Work Attachment
Local Work Attachment (WA) and internship opportunities have been curated through partnerships with employers across a broad range of industries to provide students with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities in the working world. Through these placements, students will see how their domain expertise applies in real-world contexts while also developing valuable life skills and critical core competencies as they navigate the corporate landscape.

Self-sourced opportunity is arranged independently by students, rather than being assigned by the university. It allows students to seek experiences that match their personal interests and career goals, while still meeting the academic and learning requirements of their major.
1. Submit Job Description
Submit the job description to the SUSS Career Portal for CD Coach’s approval; must meet Major’s learning objectives.
2. Approval & Placement
Upon approval, students may view the WA/WSDeg placement record on the SUSS Career Portal homepage.
3. Important Note
Students are not allowed to accept any placement or internship offer prior to approval by their CD Coach.
