Overview
Data analytics has become one of the most rapidly growing fields in the new millennium, with the potential to revolutionise industries and companies worldwide. The concept of technology as a force multiplier holds particular significance in Singapore and beyond. In this era, a new breed of professionals, who are capable of propelling organisations forward with data, is emerging. With large amounts of data constantly being generated, it is important for managers to equip themselves with essential data skills, possess the ability to perform complex data analysis, familiarise themselves with automation technologies, and be able make informed, data-driven decisions.
The Graduate Certificate in Analytics and Visualisation serves as an introduction to data analytics and visualisation. This programme is specifically designed to provide students with a strong foundation, upon which they can further develop their knowledge in data analysis through work or advanced studies. Through ANL501 Data Visualisation and Storytelling and ANL503 Data Wrangling, students will acquire knowledge in data acquisition, data wrangling, and data storytelling. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to choose an elective that aligns with their interests and goals, ranging from machine learning and automation to statistics and more. Each course within the programme is self-contained, which ensures accessibility for students without prior experience in computing to acquire the necessary tools for data analytics.
