Our program is crafted to prepare students for a rewarding career in social work. It equips the students with the knowledge and skills to work with individuals, families, and communities from all walks of life. It offers a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, field education with reflective learning to develop your critical thinking, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The course also lays the foundation to create a broader social impact through policy development, planning, and evaluation.Career Prospects
Graduates will be well-positioned to pursue enriching careers in family service centers, children and youth agencies, government bodies, healthcare institutions, prisons and rehabilitative agencies and other community development or social service agencies.
Programme Structure
This is a four-year direct honours full-time programme. To graduate, students are required to complete a total of 200 credit units (cu), which include:
- 60 cu of SUSS Core courses
- 110 cu of Social Work Major Courses
- 30 cu of Free Electives/Minor

Besides meeting the course requirements, applicants are required to rank Social Work within the first and second choice to be considered for shortlisting for interview. There
will be additional admission criteria to better target students who are aligned
to the educational philosophy of our full-time programmes. This will be done through
interviews and selection tests.
Eligible adult learners who qualify for Adult Learners (AL) Scheme will submit via the same online application as regular applicants. Find out more here.
