We are SUSS’s focal point for research into behavioural insights and nudges, with a special focus on the workplace. We bring together experts across the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) network to work on important topics such as employee wellbeing, workplace safety and health, and human capital.

Factors Influencing PPE Use Among Blue-Collar Workers
Developing an accessible survey to determine what affects personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance among blue-collar workers
Predictors of Perceived Organizational Innovation in Healthcare
Discovering how Singapore's largest healthcare sector cluster is driving innovation among AHPs and pharmacists.
Platform Workers' Wellbeing Index Indicator Tool
Dr. Sheryl Chua, PI for BICE's project to develop a well-being index for platform workers in Singapore. Phase 1 findings were shared at the MOM-ILO Dialogue on Digital Platform Work.

DrugFreeSG Forum (18 April 2026)
Organised by the National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA), this forum—titled Resilient Youth & Families—featured BICE’s study on how Singaporean parents could engage their youth in conversations about drug use. A toolkit for parents and caregivers will be made available for download at a later date.
Behavioural Insights Course for Health & Safety Leaders (26 January 2026)
BICE delivered a full-day Behavioural Insights course for safety leaders (CET278). The session covered how workers process information and make safety-related decisions, guided participants in analysing their business unit context, and introduced practical BI tools to design targeted interventions to prevent health and safety incidences.
SUSS Sustainability Hackathon 2025 (29 October 2025)
Can sustainability be an engine of growth for businesses? Between August and October 2025, selected SUSS student teams worked with supply chain and logistics companies to demonstrate how.
The interdisciplinary SUSS student teams, mentored by SUSS faculty and industry experts, competed to develop actionable and impactful solutions, all while competing for the top cash prize of $6,000.
Professor Renate Schubert Guest Lecture (15 August 25)
As part of the SUSS Sustainability Hackathon, we invited Professor Schubert to conduct a guest lecture titled "How to Foster Sustainability - Insights from Behavioural Economics". Professor Schubert is an Economics professor at ETH Zurich and a pioneer in behavioural economics focused on environmental and energy-related behaviours.
PSA Train-the-Trainer session (05 August 25)
A Train-the-Trainer session was conducted for PSA, focusing on role-play-based training for personnel.
Workforce Singapore Career Health Summit (10 July 25)
With UOB, we presented a poster featuring our research study on Coaching and Mentoring to enhance business outcomes.
