SUSS-FHNW Dual Master’s Degree Programmes

The Dual Master’s Degree Programme is a collaboration between the School of Business, SUSS and the School of Business, FHNW (AACSB accredited) . Graduates of the programme will be conferred two Master’s Degrees.

All international students are required to hold a valid Student’s Pass (STP) issued by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for their studies at SUSS.

1. Check Admission Requirements
  • Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
  • For SUSS graduate programmes that are conducted in the English Language, if your undergraduate degree is not awarded by an English-medium university, or, your undergraduate degree is awarded by an English-medium university but the language of instruction was not English. You must meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR) with at least an:

  • IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5
  • TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based) or 85 (internet-based)
  • PTE Academic score of 58
  • C1 Advanced score of 180 (score must be obtained within the last 2 years at point of application)
  • MUET score of a Band 4 (score must be obtained within the last 5 years at point of application)

* For programmes conducted in Chinese, ELPR is not required.

2. Prepare Supporting Documents

Application for graduate programmes is to be made online​. To begin, first prepare all necessary documents for e-application.

Each e-application must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee which is payable online only.

4. After Application
  • Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo one or more interviews and/or take written admission or other evaluation tests as may be prescribed by SUSS.
  • All applications are considered individually on merit, and the offer of admission is dependent on the number of places available in individual programmes.

You will receive notification of your application status via email.

  • For January intake, the notification will be sent out by end November to December.
  • For July intake, by end May to June.

Other Fees

All international students required to hold a valid Student's Pass issued by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for their studies at SUSS, will pay an annual miscellaneous fee of S$530.00 (subject to prevailing GST).

The miscellaneous service charges consist of items such as CLASS copyright licensing fees, computer fees, student card, student insurance, etc. There may be additional items that are not covered by the tuition fees. These could include items such as additional recommended textbooks, resit examination fee, etc.

  1. 1. How can I open a bank account in Singapore?

    DBS Singapore now offers international students the option to open a bank account remotely from their home country, even before arriving in Singapore. As soon as you receive your In-Principle Approval (IPA) from ICA, you can begin the digital application process.

    Key benefits include:

    • Fully online application process before arrival
    • Your DBS account is ready for use upon arrival in Singapore
    • In some cases, you may receive your debit card overseas and start using it immediately upon landing at Changi Airport

  2. 2. What are some important documents I’ll need to prepare before departing for Singapore?

    For a smoother administrative process into Singapore, please ensure you have the following items ready before you leave for Singapore:

    1. A valid passport for international travel with validity of at least six months
    2. Photocopies of the bio-data page of your passport
    3. Student pass In-Principal Approval (IPA) letter
    4. Pre-enrolment medical report
    5. SUSS’ Letter of Offer (printed out)
    6. Other forms of personal identification
    7. Passport-sized photographs
    8. Letter or emails containing accommodation arrangements in Singapore
  3. 3. What are some things I need to look out for when renting accommodation in Singapore?

    If you are renting a private apartment, you may engage the services of a property agent to help you with the arrangements. Do note that agents charge an agent fee if you engage their services. Some things to look out for are:

    • Rent – This includes monthly rental of the unit, rental deposit, security deposit, administrative charges.
    • Location – Whether the unit is located near amenities such as MRT stations, bus stops, grocery stores or food outlets
    • Lease period – The lease period of a unit is normally one to two years. Some landlords may ask for up to three months’ rent as deposit.
    • Others – You may wish to factor in additional costs, such as for water and electricity charges for the unit you are renting, Wi-Fi charges or having to purchase your own furnishings if the unit you are renting is unfurnished.

    Any contract or tenancy agreement signed is solely between student and house owner / service provider. Always make sure to personally visit the room / apartment for rent before making any commitments and never make any payments before that.

  4. 4. I require assistance with accommodation. Will SUSS be able to provide some recommendations?

    Although there are no accommodation options on SUSS campus at this point in time, the university has sourced some accommodation providers for your consideration. You may refer to Accommodation Options for more details.

  5. 5. Will I have medical insurance coverage during my course of study with SUSS?

    All matriculated full-time students will have insurance coverage consisting of the following:

    • Group Personal Accident Insurance
    • Group Hospital and Surgical Insurance
    • Group Clinical Outpatient Insurance
    • Group Outpatient Specialist Insurance

  6. 6. How much should I budget for my monthly living expenses?

    The estimated living expenses in Singapore vary across individuals depending on spending habits. It may range from anywhere between S$500 and S$2,000 or more per month on living expenses. You may use EDB’s Cost of Living Calculator for an estimate based on your lifestyle preferences.

    The SUSS Student Portal is your main online student hub, allowing you to access your student details, complete e-course registration, check your school invoices, perform payment transactions, receive updates and news, and more!
